“Sunday Kind of Love” - Alicia Keys & Bonnie Raitt (Etta James Tribute)

You know, I find it disrespectful that the death of Whitney Houston was given such precedence over the death of Etta James by the Grammy Awards committee. Yes, I realize that Whitney’s death is more recent and more shocking, but it doesn’t sit well with me that no prayer was said for Etta nor was she featured in the memoriam slideshow. Etta was a legend and, make no mistake, there would be no Whitney Houston without the likes of Etta who came before her. With that said, I thought this was a fitting tribute to Etta and a lovely rendition of my favorite Etta James song. Rest in peace, Etta.
