Visionaries: Inside the Creative Mind of Tom Ford

For whatever reason, Tom Ford allowed OWN unprecedented access to his life and, thus, this video was born. I love this man and it has nothing to do with his acclaimed fashion. I love Tom Ford because he understands the art of creativity in every medium. Prior to watching this, I had no idea he studied architecture at Parsons, but it all makes sense now.

His directorial debut, A Single Man, transformed him into a master architect of film. I have never been so moved by a film the way I was with A Single Man. To hear him break down just how much he incorporated his life, thoughts and deepest emotions into this film is such a revelation. Few people can take someone else’s story and genuinely make it their own, but that is the talent of Tom Ford. 

Another thing I absolutely love about this is hearing him speak about sex. No one understands sexuality and the female anatomy quite like Tom Ford and it’s always a treat to listen to his musings on the evolution of sex and culture. Enjoy.
